Fall Protection Awareness and Competent Person (29 CFR 1926, Subpart M, 1910.23, ANSI Z359)

The number one cause of death in the construction industry and the number two cause of death for general industry in this country are from falls. This 2 hour awareness course will provide each participant with general knowledge of various fall protection systems in accordance with OSHA's 29 CFR 1910 and 1926 standards. We will focus primarily with the Fall Arrest System of fall protection.

We also offer a 16 hour Fall Protection Competent Person training event that will provide participants with a comprehensive knowledge of OSHA's 29 CFR Subpart M, Fall Protection Standard and the General Industry standard of 29 CFR 1910 Subpart D, Walking & Working Surfaces and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z359 series standards. Each participant will be required to pass a difficult examination, conduct inspections on fall arrest equipment and develop a fall protection plan.

Both courses require the individual to assess several job sites for fall hazards and develop fall protective systems that will meet the OSHA regulations.
