Forklift Operator (29 CFR 1910.178)

Even the most experienced and seasoned operators can benefit from this powered industrial truck training. OSHA's industry standard for forklift operators, powered industrial truck (29 CFR 1910.178) requires knowledge of the regulation and an actual operator evaluation. We can provide the knowledge and evaluation to qualify your operators and then you authorize them to operate your equipment.

The proper demonstration of safe material handling and the successful completion of the written exam are the certification criteria for this 8 hour course. Employees will be required to operate a forklift representative of their workplace. We can provide training on all types of Powered Industrial Trucks.

We also offer a Train-the-Trainer for forklift operators or for previous instructors who would like to sharpen their skills. We can actually conduct this course in conjunction with the Forklift Operator class. We will require the potential instructors to present a 15 minute instructional presentation on a learned topic and then evaluate the two other operators while a Safety Tek Industries training professional observes the potential instructor.
